Liberty was purchased after his Stallion Licensing and German Hanoverian Verband approval in Verden by Tina Konyot, noted FEI rider and 2010 World Equestrian Games U.S. individual and team competitor. Exclusively trained and competed by Tina, Liberty at age seven, won his very first Prix St. Georges competition on the competitive Florida Dressage Circuit with the excellent score of 70.58%! His competition record includes many significant wins at Prix St. Georges and Grand Prix level at major shows.
Although few in number due to his extensive show career, Liberty's offspring already exhibit his talent, athleticism and trainability. His sire is the legendary Lauries Crusador xx, "the bay refiner" who made history in 2006 by being the only Thoroughbred to be named Hanoverian Stallion of the Year. In Europe, Lauries Crusador xx has 2,297 registered offspring, 604 registered broodmares, 206 States Premium Mares and 54 licensed sons. Liberty's dam line contains many famous sport horse producing sires. His dam sire Gimpel has been respectfully described as "Hard as Iron" and competed in both dressage and jumping and is noted for producing versatile offspring. Great grandsire Don Carlos was one of the most successful sires of Hanoverian jumping horses after World War II. He produced 283 main studbook mares, many States Premium mares, 24 approved stallions and 467 competition horses who won close to DM 1,300,000 in prize money.
Liberty brings strong dressage bloodlines combined with a modern type to the sporthorse breeders. We anxiously await his 2011 foal crop!
