Donner Bube's powerhouse pedigree is the result of breeding the best to the best, generation after generation. His sire, Donnerhall, was ranked the Greatest Dressage Sire of the world in 2006, based on number of International performance offspring. Donnerhall has sired over 100 approved sons, over 100 State Premium mares and nearly 350 successful sport horses. Many of the successful Donnerhall offspring have been out of Pik Bube I mares, as is Donner Bube.
Winner of his stallion test, Donner Bube scored 9's for general impression, engagement and elasticity of gaits, and jumping technique and 8's for all other categories. Donner Bube was shown both in Europe and Canada as a jumper, with success. The depth of both dressage and jumping blood he provides is hard to duplicate and he provides a unique opportunity for breeders regardless of the intended performance arena.
Their sire's tractable mind is evident in the rideability of Donner Bube's offspring. Three out of five offspring shown at a CWHBA Performance Test achieved a Premium score and the fourth scored 8's for jumping scope and technique! A daughter out of an "unapproved" lineage won the Oldenburg mare test in BC, achieved premium status and was allowed registration with the Oldenburg verband. Donner Bube's 3 year old daughter was the 2nd highest seller at the 1st Alberta Invitational Warmblood Sale and a 4-year-old gelded son was tied 2nd highest seller ($28,500.00) at the 2005 CWHBA Fall Classic Sale.
In addition to Donner's successful offspring in the dressage and jumping arena, he is proving himself as a Broodmare Sire. Donner Star, a 7 year old daughter's 2005 filly by Regardez, was Reserve 3 year old Material Champion in Alberta in 2008. Bomissimo, a 5 year old daughter's 2008 colt (photo insert) by Londerderry was champion of 38 foals to 2 year olds at the CWHBA Northern Breeder's show at Amberlea. Danya, a 3 year old daughter was Material Champion in Alberta in 2008 and Reserve Champion in the mare show at CWHBA Northern breeder's show. With 3 of his 'get' Donner Bube won Get of Sire at the CWHBA Norther Breeder's show.
