Shine is the perfect combination of temperament, conformation, ability and beauty. He is the ultimate amateur horse and passes these traits to his offspring. He is a credit to his sire, Akzent II who is considered to be one of the most accomplished sires of rideability of modern horse breeding.

Shine is still showing and winning! In 2011 Shine won both Hunter Derbies in Estes Park, CO and was awarded 2011 THJA Regular Conformation Hunter Champion. He also had many top 12 finishes in USHJA Hunter Derbies and National Hunter Classics; and was invited to compete at the USHJA Hunter Derby Finals in Lexington, KY where he "shined". In 2010 he was the winner of the Estes Park Hunter Derby and he had 2 top 6 finishes in USHJA Hunter Derbies.

In 2001 Shine was 5th in the nation in the Green Conformation Hunters. He was also National Champion in the National Hunter/Jumper Council, Green Conformation Hunters and Reserve Horse of the Year in the Pacific Coast Horse Association.

From 2002 - 2006 he had many Championships in the Amateur Owner Hunters. He was Reserve Champion in the Texas Hunter/Jumper Association Adult Hunters 36-49 in 2007 and Reserve Champion in 2009 in the Texas Hunter Jumper Association and Zone 7 Adult Hunters 36 - 49 and 36 and over.
