Dampezzo had a very rewarding 2009 show season in PSG an Intermediare 1. He was constantly in the top three, winning many of his classes including a FEI Advance Championship. Dampezzo was highly received by both spectators and judges with such comments such as "Olympic caliber", "magnificent", "brilliant", "unbelievable talent". Watch for this exciting stallion in the 2010 season.

In 2007 Dampezzo was imported to Canada and is a fully approved Hanoverian stallion. He ranked 4th out of 38 stallions in the dressage portion of his 100 Day Stallion Test in Germany. He combines both movement and a pedigree that promises a bright future in breeding and competition

Dampezzo is the first approved son of Don Frederico to stand in North America. In 2006 Don Frederico was Dressage Stallion of the Year. He was awarded 9's and 9+ for his walk, trot and canter and was Dressage Champion and Reserve Champion at his stallion licensing in 2000. His sire, Donnerhall produced more than 70 approved stallions in Germany alone. In both 1998 and 1999 Donnerhall was Oldenburg Dressage Stallion of the Year.

Dampezzo's dam's sire, Lauries Crusador xx was proclaimed Hanoverian Stallion of the Year in 2006. He sired more than 1,560 registered offspring, 349 mares registered into the Studbook, 103 state premium mares, 39 licensed sons, 13 which are in the premium stallion register and an impressive 546 registered competition offspring. His career as a breeding stallion has exceeded all expectations. Also on the dam's side, Weltmeyer's credentials are endless; winner of the stallion licensing in Verden 1986, winner of the three-year-old stallions classification at the Federal Championships of German Riding Horses, best stallion of his age-group 1988, winner of the "Freiherr von Stenglin-Prize" 1988, DLG Champion 1989, Hanoverian Stallion of the Year 1998 and Hanoverian Stallion of the Century 2006. Dampezzo's pedigree carries multiple State Premium Mares, one of which is the very talented Ascona, who won many titles and honours including 1980 DLG champion.
